Xiaomi mi 12 Design.
Both Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro look almost the same when it comes to the design, other than the size. The screens curve at the edge, and there is a ‘punch-hole’ at the centre-top that houses the selfie camera. The cameras are housed in rectangular bumps with one giant and two smaller lenses at the back of the phone. This handset comes in black, green, blue or pink. It weighs 179 gms and has a dimension of 152.7 x 69.9 x 8.2 mm.
Xiaomi mi 12 Display.
With a 6.28-inch display, Xiaomi 12 is neither big nor small. This smaller sibling of Xiaomi 12 Pro has a 1080 x 2400 resolution with an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1100 nits max brightness. Just like Xiaomi 12 Pro it also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
Xiaomi mi 12 Camera.
Here you are getting a 50 MP f/1.9 main camera and 32MP selfie snapper equal to that in Xiaomi 12 Pro. But that’s where the similarities end. In total, the Xiaomi 12 gets exactly 100MP shared between its four cameras, but the xiaomi 12 Pro has a grand total of 182MP. Under good light the photos are brilliant just like the videos. You can shoot videos in 8K@24fps (HDR10), 4K@30fps (HDR10+), 1080p@30/120/240/960fps and 720p@1920fps, gyro-EIS.
Xiaomi mi 12 Performance.
Xiaomi 12 gets Qualcomm’s newest super-powerful chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, paired with either 8GB RAM for efficiency in multi-tasking. The software is Android 12, with Xiaomi’s MIUI 13. Although we haven’t tested the Xiaomi 12, expect great performance from it for sure.
Xiaomi mi 12 Battery and Charging.
Battery-wise, we would have preferred Xiaomi mi 12 to pack a 5000 mAh battery capacity like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G 512GB and Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G 256GB but we are only getting 4500 mAh with its sibling Xiaomi mi 12 Pro getting an additional 100 mAh. The battery is great though. It will fairly take you through a day without you topping up the power. It comes with a fast charging of 67W (100% in 39 min as advertised), Fast wireless charging 50W, 100% in 53 min and Reverse wireless charging of 10W, Power Delivery is at 3.0 and you also get a Quick Charge 4+.
